As a member of the Mafiostuck community you are expected to follow it’s rules. If you do not follow the rules you will be contacted by a Staff Member, and could face BANNING.

Site Rules

1. This Is A Roleplay Community: Do not join unless you plan to roleplay.
2. We Welcome Many Types: This community is multi-fandom and original character friendly. If you do not wish to be involved with such things, do not join.
3. Be Considerate and Respect Limits: If you can not be a decent person to other users or even Staff, don't even bother. DON'T DO IT!
4. Do Not Spam or Self Advertise: Spamming and self advertising will result in a warning followed by a banning for repeat offenses. The only acceptable advertising is roleplay advertising, in the appropriate category.
5. Use The Character Application: If you do not have an approved character, you cannot roleplay. Administrators will look to your application as soon as they can to either approve it or tell you how to fix it so it can be approved.
6. Do Not Post NSFW 18+ Material Outside of the Designated Categories: We want to keep Mafiostuck open to most people, and not everyone wants to see NSFW 18+ content.
7. Try To Keep Active: You are allowed to take time and play at your leisure, but if you leave without warning for a month or longer, your character will be given up for grabs.
8. In Character Does Not Equal Out Of Character and Vice Versa: Just because the character is doing something, does not mean that the person playing the character agrees/consents/feels the same way their character does. You can always contact the roleplayer you are having issues with if you feel they are blurring the line between IC and OOC.

NSFW 18+ Rules

1. Only Post NSFW if You are Part of the 18+ Group: To join the group, go to your profile and hit the groups tab and request to join. A Staff Member will look over your profile to assure your age, and approve or deny your request.
2. You Must Show Your Full Birthday on Your Profile: To assure that we are not letting minors into the 18+ group, you MUST show your full birthday, including year, on your profile.
3. Do Not Involve Anyone Outside the 18+ Group With Things NSFW: People not in the 18+ group are not permitted to be involved with NSFW discussion or roleplay for site safety.
4. No Kink or Boundary Shaming: People will have different kinks and boundaries, and that needs to be respected.
5. Gain OOC Consent: If you want to roleplay something triggering with someone, make sure you have their permission first. If you do not have 100% consent from the roleplayer don’t do it.

Roleplay Rules

1. Mafiostuck Is Its Own Universe: If you are bringing in a character from different universes, you MUST conform them to the Mafiostuck world and guidelines.
2. Everyone Is Human: No matter what, you are human, no powers, no nothing. Plain human.
3. No Repeat Characters: Though this is a multi-fandom and original character friendly site, we do not allow repeat characters.
4. Discern if a Roleplay is Open or Closed: When titling a thread, make sure to state if the roleplay is open to the public or closed, only involving certain people.
5. You Are Not Obligated: You are not obligated to start or respond to a thread if you do not want. You are also never obligated to see a roleplay through. However, as a courtesy, it’s always nice if you give your partner a heads up if you feel for whatever reason that you need to drop the current roleplay.
6. Speak up if Something is Wrong: If you’re not happy with what your partner is doing in a roleplay, please, please let them know! They can’t help you if they don’t know they’re upsetting you! Your comfort is incredibly important. Also if someone is doing something you don’t approve of IC, and you tell them out of character that you’d like them to stop and they do not, contact Staff immediately. Also, if a partner tells you to stop doing something out of character, please respect that. There is no excuse for continuing something if someone isn’t comfortable with it.
